Question
I have a Thonet Bentwood Rocking chair that has a recained seat and back. It has alot of information about the chair stamped on the back of the seat. One of the arms has been repaired with large screws and the other arm replaced screws have come out from side of the seat. I wonder if I should glue and repair it myself or should I look into having a professional work on it. It is in great condition except for that. Thank You.
If you have the tools and experience to do the job, go for it.Otherwise, take it to someone who can do the job correctly. That's the key in any repair or restoration, doing it the right way. Over the years,you would be surprised at some of the repairs I've seen.
