Answer

1950 Model 403 America
Hi Eliza,

I was not informed by allexperts that your question was waiting here, but I am here to answer it for you now. I did go look, and seen this scale. I have attached a photo of this model and how it works for you to this answer. The value of this scale, American Scale Model 403 is in a value guide and the value is listed as $120.00 and it was made in 1950, "Not 1929!". So, it may be over priced but this is just a guide, the real value is what the seller is willing to sell it for and what a buyer is willing to pay for it. If you would want the printed guide value I could email it to you if you want it to try to negotiate on it some, it might be some ammo for you, and maybe help you get it for less then their asking price. I also have a new value guide coming in a new scale book that might have more information on this particular scale, so check back if you are interested.

Thank You
Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
