Question

Columbia De Luxe
I have a Columbia De Luxe nickel machine, and don't know what year it was made,or the possible value of it as well. Also cant find any books,or manuals to speak of.Inside stamped on the machine is "No.A-200" and inside the oak housing has a small decal that says woodwork by Churchill,Chicago

Answer

Columbia Slot Machine
Hi Andy,

This is a great early Columbia machine! I see a lot of Columbia slot machines but this is a very early model made in 1936, and called the "Columbia Deluxe". This Columbia line of slot machines were made by Groetchin Tool Co. around 1936. Nice machine Andy, and thank you for adding a photo!! As for information and manuals, and restoration, and other information there is a file loaded with Columbia information at this web site: http://jackpot7.freeyellow.com/page21.html and look for: Columbia Slot Machine by Groetchen, Manuals and information, a file of information when there at the above link. See attached photo I am adding to this answer for information as to value and model, you can print this out and have it to keep.

Thank You!

Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
