Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Slot Machine

QuestionQUESTION: I have a slot machine from I believe the 1970's. It takes 1 or 2 quarters at a time. The items on the wheels are fruit such as oranges, bars, cherries, bells, plums. It is a single payout line. I believe Bally's is the manufacturer and the lettering above the cash dispenser says Highlife. The top portion has words such as Double up- double your money- double your fun. All pays doubled when 2 coins played. Trying to get as much info. on this so I can sell it. Thank you.
ANSWER: Hi again Rob,
I received your photo's just fine, great! and thank you. It's the old (a photos worth a thousand words), and it speaks load and clear on your 1966 Bally Model 808 "Double Up" see photo if I can still post it here on this question, there is also information about it at the bottom of the photo, and you should be able to print it out to save, but just in case, I'll email it to you also. Well looks like I can't post the photo and information so I'll send it to you via email right away.
Thanks Rod!

Hi Rob,
Sorry, and I hope you understand, there is just not enough information here to tell what it is. If you want to email me a photo of the outside and the inside I might be able to tell what make and model it is. Or, maybe you can find that on the serial number tag somewhere. My email address is: Jackpot7@q.com This description that you have will just about find any of the 70's to 80's machines and there's a ton of different models and makes. Try to send a photo if you can and I'll see if I can find you some information on it. If it is a Bally, the model number should be on a metal tag just below the handle.
Thank You
Sincerely

QUESTION: Hi Rodger. You could also try if you want to send me the info. there. Do you know how much this machine is worth? Would you or your company be interested in buying it? Can you point me towards someone who might want to buy it if you don't want to. Thank you.
Rob
AnswerHi Rob,
Well I think I found the problem with your email and I hope by now you have received the file photo of your machine and information via email. As for value and where to sell it? Well that is a tough question, crags list is a good free avenue to use to find a local buyer for it. They are at:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/ and once there just select your city and state. A local antique store is another good place to get an offer or consign it. Then you have the auction company's, or even ebay. I have a slot machine blue book or value guide and it lists it's value in a range of 145.00 for junk parts up to $985.00 for a good working model. So, your in the ball park for an easy sell at around 700.00 to 850.00 I would guess. I hope you have all the information your were looking for now Rob, if not you know where to find me and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have OK? Also if you or the new owner need any manuals for it, you can find them here:
