Answer

Bally Classic Size 197
Hi Douglin,

Attached to this answer should be a photo and information on your machine that you can print out. By your model number 873 your Bally was made in 1970, this is a 8 and 9 hundred series bally, all electro/mechanical and a very nice classic size bally. You had the classic sized model then the intermediate and then on to the great big wide body model. These early classic sized Ballys are hot sellers because of there small size and the fact that most are all fruit symbols on the reel strips, another great big plus. This model the 873 held several different games in this cabinet so it's possible that yours could look different, but it still a model 873. Value is an up and down affair right now but a good range is from about 650.00 to 1,000.00 for this model. If you ever need a manual for it the Bally Electro/Mechanical Manual Number 2400 is a great one for this machine and you can get one at:

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
