Collectibles-General (Antiques)/pace bantam

Question
Hi I am writing you again to ask about a pace we dug out of the storage shed.It is a pace bantam 1cent. It has a front on it
that has a triple dummy? type jackpot, which could not pay out
It also has a side vendor that holds gumball, and still is full of them(what a mess). This slot also does not have the typical escalator that the coin revolves around but instead it drops down
like a gooseneck of other makers.
I have seen pictures of a machine like this and it was loaded with gumballs, and another which had indian head pennies loaded in it.It also has a jackpot window on the front left and it pays out from the jackpot and below for other winnings from playing. Do you know if gumballs went in front or was it triple dummy jackpot?
I do not know how to send pictures as am not good with computer.
Also there is no spot for award card?I need to buy a pace money bag. Also need a marque on top to hold award card if that is correct Who would sell these parts?
 Any info I would appriciate.

 Thanks  Jennie

  Thank you Jennie

Hi Jennie,

I have had a couple of these in the past and sold them. I would love to see a photo of yours even if you had to send it in the mail, if you could, please email me at Jackpot7@q.com Now,to you questions. The three jackpots on the front are really not jackpots, this is where the award card would fit. It would fit inside those three windows. Most people remove this and put a piece of sheet metal behind it and either put gum balls in there or colored marbles that look like gum balls because it bighted up the machine some. But doing it this way is not original! I think it is done to make the sell easer as it gives them a lot of Bling or "Flash" appeal. The Pace Bantams did use a straight shot type of goose neck on the bantams so this is correct. A word of caution here that will not affect you, the Bantam machine is a smaller machine and some of the standard pace parts like the goose neck will not work on the bantam. I will have to look for a suppler for the parts that your requesting, and I will. Is this something that your going to restore yourself or are you interested in selling it just as it is? I like the bantams and I like un'restored machine, so if your looking for a buyer please email me at Jackpot7@q.com Thank You

I'll see if I can locate an award card, money bag, and a marque and get back to you on it, or if you email me, I'll let you know there.

P.S. Nice Find!

Thank you Jennie

Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
