Question

V Gumball machine
I found this double gumball machine with a cursive V on the dispenser door.  It has a wood stand and metal trimmings just wondering if it is worth anything and if you knew where I could get a key to open it.  Sending pics to your email.  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Jayme,

I don't think I am going to find anything on these, they are just to new seeing the plastic globes. Also I really don't think that stand is an original stand for these, it's just too nice for a newer commercial machine and the machines are just to new looking, with plastic globes I think? Nice looking, but not very old and we are not going to find them in antique vendor books and information. Is the "V" for Victor? I'll look some more but I don't really think these are even 25 years old to be  considered antiques.

Thank you

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
