hi i recently bought a small thimble that is pretty old it looks like its made of pewter, it is a little girls thimble and is really small on the sides of it it reads FOR A GOOD GIRL the lady i got it from said it was in her collection a while ago and she sold the collection but must have forgot to put this one in to sell it. well i was wondering if you knew the age or when it was made and hopefully the value of it, and who useually buys old antique thimbes? i was told that it is a rare find becuze its so small? is that true? thank you sooo much for your time and i hope to hear from you soon!!

Hello Jerry,
It sounds like what you have is a small pewter thimble that was in a Monopoly set.  They are not rare and not worth much money, sorry.
Silver, gold or enamel child sized thimbles (size 6 and below) are very collectible and highly sought after.
