QUESTION: We need to sell our Bally Power Play Pinball machine and we live in the Pittsburgh, PA area. It is in fair condition and works sometimes. The one upper flipper does not work. Do you have any idea what the value of it would be, even a range would be helpful?

Many thanks!

ANSWER: Hi Smitty,

Your Bally "Bobby Orr's" Power Play first came off the line for sale in January of 1978. A four player game in which 13,750 units were produced in the total run. It has a 2010 value of $750.00.

Thank You

Sincerely

QUESTION: Your answer was very helpful and your timeliness was also appreciated. Just to clarify, is the value of $750 for a machine in "fair" condition or is this the value of a machine in "good" condition and I need to adjust the value accordingly?

Answer
Hi Smitty,

This value is for a working game in average condition. So if you machine was a none working machine, you would have to guess the cost of repairing it and subtract that cost from this value. If the machine was new in the box then you would have to add more value. It's a guide value and what they sell for on the average. I hope this clears it up some for you.

Thanks again Smitty

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
