Question
I have a 1930's Ace High Pinball machine. I believe it was made by Pierce Tool. It is in good condition and is functional. It has 10 steel balls. I have posted photos at http://www.pineridge-antiques.com/acehigh/index.html

Can you tell me if it is complete and the retail value? Is it considered a 'pay out' or gambling machine? Anything else you can tell me about it will be most appreciated.
Thank you!

Answer
Karen,

If it functions, all the working parts are still with the machine.  The missing door isn't that big of a deal.  It is common to find old machines with a missing door or minor problem.  It was not a pay out machine like a slot machine, but it was most likely used for gambling with a payout occurring by the operator.  I estimate the value to be in the $300-500 range.

Good Luck,
Chad
