Question

gottlieb sure shot
Hello: I found your name through the all experts site and was hoping you
could tell me something about the pinball machine I have. I am trying to sell
it and I have no idea where to begin in terms of a price.

It is a Gottlieb & Co. Sure Shot. The copyright says D. Gottlieb & Co 1975 but
all of my research says these were a 1976 model.

It is a bit beat up, but it works fine as far as I can tell. Anything you can tell
me would be great. I will attach a photo but if you need a more specific one,
let me know and I will get it to you.

Answer
Hi Julie,

Sure, I can help you. From your photo it looks good, one thing to keep in mind is the condition on the back glass, if it not flacking or missing paint that is a very good thing, and the condition of the play field, if the play filed is in good shape and the paint is not all wore off, then the collectors will grab it up. Your Sure shot first came out in March of 1976, it's a one player game and Gottlieb made 3,700 of these units. Todays value "Guide" for a working average condition Sure Shot Is listed at $600.00.

Thank You....

Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
