Question

Thimble Cup
I received this thimble as a gift from my Sister. She said she found it in an antique store in Levenworth, KS. I have never been able to find out any information on it. Just curious if this is still being made or if it is in fact an old piece. Just some history would be great. Makings on the bottom are (Fine Eng, A large A, and made by Sheefle?) On the thimble itself it says "Just A Thimble Full". The cup is 3.75" tall and 3.25" wide. Any info you would have would be great! Thank you for your time!

Answer
Hello Mara.  Your "jigger" or "thimble full" was made by Sheffield in England.  It is silverplate.  Since this item was made for the tourist trade, they are not rare.  You may be able to find more information on this item by researching the company.  Hope this helps.  Barbara
