Question
I have 2 Porcelain Hershey thimbles.  One is a baker man reading a book.  On the front are the words"checkin twice".  On the back is the word "Hershey's". Inside are the words Hershey Foods Corporation and J.H. Schuler Co. Licensee.  The other one is a baker woman.  on the front are the words "wholesome recipe" and on the back is the word "Hershey's".  Same words inside.  Any information on these as to the age and value?  thank You.

Answer
Hello Steve.  Your thimbles are contemporary/modern and probably mass produced for the tourist trade. It would be impossible to date withouth specific order information from the maufacturer, as they are not marked by maker or date of issue.  You may find some interest in that they are cross collectible (thimbles/Hershey) but they have little value on the secondary market.  Without pictures, I cannot tell condition, but if they are in mint, unused condition, they have a resale value of about $3-5 each.  Hope I've helped.  Barbara
