Question
Hi, I have had the above vinyl jukebox for around 13 years now, and am possibly going to sell it. It is in excellent working condition, was serviced last year including new base speakers.
Question is, How much is it worth? and secondly, if I keep it, how much should I insure it for? many thanks.
Alan

Answer
Hi Allan,

Thank You, I know and I was hopeing to find something else for you, but being a newer jukbox and mostly seen overseas there is nothing in the books so in that case you just have to run with what you can find. I have seen nsm jukes sell before but most of the one's I have seen don't bring dollars even close to this model, and this model I haven't see at an auction yet but I am sure they have been in some. Value guide are just compiled selling price information and then avaraged out to come to an avarage value for a guide price. What you may want to look at is replacement value for insurance, and that would be in the $2,000.00 area, maybe more if it is in really fine condition and less if it's not.

Hi Alan,

I have been looking for information on your NSM, I see it was made around 1983 by MSN Lowen and here some little information on that:

The late eighties, the NSM factory in Bingen was considered the largest jukebox manufacturer in the world, holding many design patents, an industry leader in jukebox cabinet décor and design. Examples include the Performer Classic and the Ultimate.

This jukebox is not listed in any of my antique reference material as it's to new for the things that I deal in, but I was looking anyway to see what I could find as I don't have much on them myself. I haven't found a value for it just yet but I am thinking around 1,500.00 to 1,900.00 based on what I have been able to find. There is a lot more information on this model overseas and more NSM units for sale there like this one of yours. I could find a asking price of UK £
1,200 for one over overseas, which converts to U.S. $1,902.02 but it will not be accurate for a U.S. value. So far this is about the best I can come up with as I only deal in the old antique stuff but wanted to help you as much as possible. You might want to keep an eye on ebay for one at auction, there is not one right now, but one will show up sometime where you can get a value idea.

Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
