i am looking for parts and wiring for the power supply and payout counting assy
i am not sure exactly what you call the  assy that counts the coins  but i know that it is not attached directly to the hopper
also what is the proper name for the plug and sockets bally used but not the beau plugs as i have heard of those before.
these plugs have round pins on plugs  and holes in the sockets
sorry to be a pain but i am a bit unsure how to proceed as this is my first large slot  machine
many thanks

Answer
Hi Chris,

Bally slot machine #837 Windsor castle? This must be a UK game as I haven't seen one like it here in the U.S.? Anyway is must still be a model 837 Bally right? Most of the regular wiring in a Bally slot machine use's Molex plugs. If you have the Fay's manual there is a half of page information on these if you go to page 94 in the e/m manual. The large Beauplugs are what the machine uses to connect the reel mechanism and hopper to the cabinet. Most everything else is the molex type plugs and you need a molex extractor to remove the separate pins from the plugs. As for you hopper payout unit, if it doesn't fit on the back of the coin hopper it must be located by it's self on the bottom right rear corner of the slot machine cabinet, Is that were yours fits? some wide body cabinets put the e/m payout counter back in this corner all by it's self. Is this were yours is located and are you missing this payout unit? Is this correct? I wonder if I have one around here?, I can look if you are missing yours. I am not sure what your missing as to a power supply, Is this a Electro/mechanical machine? Meaning it does not have circuit boards right?
Thank You
Rodger

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
