hi rodger thank you for all the help you have given me on my slot machine. i am still trying to figure out more about my machine, like where it came from, is it rare, and how can i restore it to make it look more new and original. the glass has had the .25 taped on and it is pulling some of the paint away from the glass. i cant find on here anywhere one like it with the fruits, bar, and stardust combination like mine has. also i was wondering if you could let me know what the jackpot glass would look like so i can maybe have one made for it. the metal tag on the side says 1969, 742a-401, 16375.

Answer
Hi Brian,

I am attaching and sending you something that your really going to enjoy, it's an article all about Ballys model 742 line and even list YOUR slot machine in there and tells you what casino bought it when new! Your machine is very clean, it's a very good looking slot machine. You should be able to find a replacement reel glass for this machine, and I'll look for a couple of sources and get back to you on that. Look for the attachment in a email coming to you.

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
