Question
I am finding a lot of information on the history of a Casige toy sewing machine that I recently purchased. It is teal/blue in color with the eagle trademark in front and made in Germany, British zone. I can not find any information on how it was threaded and used. I do not have a needle for it. I plan to use it on display in my sewing room, but I would like more information on how it worked. Is the spring device in the middle of the machine for tension? How was it threaded? Can you help or advise?
Thank You!
Cindy

Answer
Hello Cindy,
I do have the threading instructions for the Casige machine and am happy to share them with you.
The spring device is the tension mechanism.
Please send an e-mail to me at: xtahoeviews@yahoo.com and put in the subject: Cindy - Casige instructions.

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
