Collectibles-General (Antiques)/dresser drawer pulls

Question
I have an antique dresser that my grandmother had painted. I know this belonged to my great grandmother and was purchased thru M. Friedman and Co in San Francisco.  Once paint was removed I found a beautiful veneer of birdseye maple.  However, the drawer pulls are simply horrible.   I can't imagine they were the original, so I am looking for something to fit this dresser.  My problem is not the distance of the holes, which is 3 inches, my problem is the dresser design is made up with not one, but three radii on the front of the dresser.  Consequently, any drawer pull I attempt to use sticks out from the radius and does not look well.  What do I do?  I was considering making solid wooden pulls as a last resort.  The big problem is fitting that beautiful curve.

Answer
I understand your frustration. I have a few suggestions.Look one line at companys that have a large supply of reproduction hardware, Van Dykes is one, and see if you can get what you need from them. The second is to look on ebay for hardware someone has removed or go to some outdoor Antique Festivals. There is usually more then one dealer selling hardware and repair items.
You didn't say what style this is but some of the stamped brass pulls have a very thin brass back piece that could be worked to follow your curve.
 Good Luck,
