Question
I have a small hand operated singer which looks alot like the one on your website the serial on the inside of crank handle is 29952.  Does this mean it was manufactured in the 50"s too and what would the value be.  Where were these manufactured. Thanks it has been passed down throught the family but we don't know much about.
Lynn

Answer
Hello Linda,
Without seeing a photo of your Singer machine, it is almost impossible to know what you have. In most cases, the Singer machines were mass produced but, there are some of the earlier models that are a bit more difficult to find.
Singer Sewing Machine Co. is an American company.
Are you able to take a photograph of your machine?  If so, please attach to the query.
Thank you.

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
