Question

JukeBox
I was wondering if you could tell me for sure what year my jukebox was made? It is a Rowe AMI CMM1 Cadette with a 4566B Power amp and a 4570B pre amp working on 240 Volt mains supply.

Answer
1968 Rowe/AMi Model CMM-1
1968 Rowe/AMi Model CM
Hi Len,

Well Len, my information reads that it was made in 1968, but on another list it shows being made between 1968 to 1971. In my photo of the 1968 model the lower face looks a little different then yours so I would guess that yours could of been made later, from 69 to 71. Isn't there a date on the serial number tag which might be on the back somewhere? Production for the 1968 model was 1,768 units. In 1969 they came out with the model MM-3 and in 1970 it was the MM-4, 1971 it was the model MM-5. I can only guess here that they could of still been making the Cmm-1 during the 68 to 71 years and that could be why the lower front of your machine looks a little different then the one shown for 1968. I like your much better then the one shown that was made in 1968, it has a little more class. I would really look for the production date on the serial number tag for the year that yours was made.

Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
