Question

Slot Machine
I have the attached slot machine and don't know anything about it.  I want to sell it and would like to have some idea of it's value.

Answer
Hi Sharen,

Sorry if you been waiting, I just got an email from allexperts telling me you had a question. Your Machine is a Sega slot machine, make later like in the late 50's or early 60's maybe. These are common overseas, and we do see quite a few here that have been brought back and still on foreign coin. Most made my a company in Japan called Sega for foreign markets. These were well built machines, and most parts were pressed out with Mills original dies after mills shut down Sega bought Mills dies. Value wise over here and still on a foreign coin they bring in about 400.00 to 600.00 on the auction market. Hope this gives you the information your were looking for. I would ask 800.00 or 900.00 and just wait for an offer, and lower it if you don't get any. If you would like more information on it like a manual there is one for a machine like this at:

Look for:

Sega Mechanical Slot Machine Parts Manual. This original manual is scanned in color, it 58 pages of great Sega slot machine information. The manual is dated The Sega's were made in Japan, but using original Mills dies and tools. Mills had three sets of dies, one was hardly used and Sega bought this set when Mills went out. Most saga's were made in the 60'

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
