QuestionHello, I am looking for some ifno on 3 slot machines I have acquired, looks like you really know what you are talking about!
#1 Bally 742a-126 11453 8/10/67 (I assume that to be the build date) single cion, set up for 25 cents, works great.
#2 742a -M13A 3791 7/26/65 This is a 25 cents , play up to 3 coins. Works great as well
#3 Bally 873-C FL-9170 Glass is from Barneys in Lake Tahoe nickel, play up to 5 coins. 1/6/75
I would like to sell 2 and keep one but I'd like to keep the one with the best value or most interesting story. Thanks for taking my email. Chris
AnswerOK Chris I am back,
I looked up all three of your machines with what information I had, here is what I found on them in my papers:
742A-126: Sparks Nugget 21 Bell.
742A-126A: Sparks Nugget 21 Bell. Modified percentage.
then:
742A-13: Mint Casino Bally Special.
742A-13A: Sierra Tahoe Special.
and last the model 873:
873 Five Line Pay 1970 Played up to five lines.
Interesting to find that just for the model 742A This listing of dash numbers begins with 14 variations of the 742A-l "Money Honey," which is also found in 18 other dash numbers as later variants. All other 742A dash numbers refer to variants other than the "White Side" or the "Money Honey" models. There are 454 different dash number games for just the model 742A!
All your machines are neat, all Bally Classics in design and the great classic size, all antique games, and as for game types, all as important as the others. Value, or as a guide quarter machine sell easer as people what quarter games. As long as all your games awards are in coin amounts and not dollar win amounts, the parts to convert one, for a different coin or the other, will interchange with all three games you have. So if you want to save the nickel machine and want it a quarter, you can swap parts around and do just this. I for one like the 873 because it's a 5 line criss cross game. I find these payout at least something every few pulls so it keeps the excitement up and running, you may be playing 5 coins and winning 2 or 3 but something is happening all the time with these 5 line criss cross games and this keeps your interest up. Casino Named games are also easer to sell as some people want to find something from a certain casino, what better then a slot machine, and also you will know just were this game lived and worked most of it's life just by looking at it, and that is cool knowledge to know, and a machine that shows you just were it lived by the light up glass in it is Cool Stuff.
I hope this was helpful to you Chris, take care and thanks for leaving me good feedback here if you would, it's my only pay for my time here.
If you need an manuals you can find them here:

Hi Chris,
I spent a ton of time answering this question and then I lost it all, it just went away, I'll do it again tomorrow but I am wiped out for tonight, I just hate that when I spend so much time on something and just lose it like that, maddening! I put in a 12 hour day at work today and have another to look forward to tomorrow so give me a bit of time OK, three machines takes me a bit of research and models to deal with. Thanks Chris
