We have an old pinball machine and can't seem to identify it. I have attached a photo but I have others if you need more info. I would appreciate any help you could provide! Thanks!

ANSWER: Hi Again Karen,

Well, I found it. It is called Silver Cup and made by Genco around 1933. Here is a site were you can get a ton of information on just this machine, go to:

http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2146

QUESTION: Hi Rodger,

Thanks again for the info. Do you happen to know what the value of the machine might be? It would be nice to have an idea of what it might be worth. Thanks again and take care!

Answer
Hi Karen,

I hate to even guess at this question as I know your not going to like the answer, but I can see that I can't avoid it here. They made a lot of different type machines around this time, so were payout machines like the Jennings sportsman and these were worth a few bucks, but I don't have your listed and I really think it is just a more or less run of the mill machine for this time period of pin tables and pin ball machines. Based on your photo and what little I know on these I would guess value to be from around 100.00 to 300.00 dollars. I would feel better if I know more about this model but I don't think it is a payout slot machine type of pinball. and it doesn't have the unique features of some that are worth more money. So, that is my guess on it's value and that is about the best I can do on it as it is not listed in the pinball value guides, most older pins like this are not listed as you don't see them trading very often to keep track of value, and when they do trade it is not for the big bucks as some unique machines can bring. I'll give you the address of two different Jennings sportsman payout pins that just closed so you can see what I mean, and these machine are rare, unique and payout coins on wins.

Here is one, or search ebay for closed item # 160560621360 ;

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true

And here is the other closed item #  170618852066 ;

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true

I hope this helps you, remember that this sportsman is a machine that can bring up to 1,800.00 restored, I have seen one sell for that, but your machine is not even in this league as for value, I just want you to have something to compare a non working machine with.

Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
