Question

2 horse coin operated
My father in law has a 2 horse coin operated carousel. He wants to sell it, but we have no idea what it's all about. Can you give us any information on it? Age? Value?

Answer
Hi Kevin

I would like to tell you that I know more about these kiddie rides but I don't and I don't want to give you any bum information on it as to it's value and year built. I have seen these on a couple of web sites and mostly referred as kiddie rides when searching for them. Here one web site that may have some information about these for you:

http://gameroomantiques.com/NelsonPlayfield.htm

this is an interesting kiddie ride with the two horse's on it, it looks to me to be made in the 60's but that's just my guess, and I would guess it's value at around $2,500.00 retail but I am guessing again here, and feel I could be a little high on this. Sorry Kevin I can't give you a whole lot more on these kiddiy rides, but I don't deal in them so I am only going by what little I know about them. You might also do a search for this ride on ebay and see what there selling for at auction there.
Thank you

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
