Question

Bally Slot 873-C
Good morning Roger,
I am looking for information on a Bally 5 coin, quarter slot machine model 873-C  FL9135.  An acquaintance would like to purchase it from us and I do not have a clue what it's value is.  It is in fine working order, but hasn't been used in some time.  I do not want to over or under value it and am look for a range of its value. I would appreciate any help you could offer.
Thank you,

Jan

Answer
Hi Jan, Good Morning

Well your giving me a question here that is very hard for me to answer, as the prices these sell for differ widely depending on where and who you buy them from. Retail in a store maybe you will see 1,200.00 to 1,400.00 on this machine, on auction you may pick it up for 450.00 to 500.00, on Greg's list on in the paper maybe 650.00 to 950.00. So, I would ask maybe around 700.00 to 850.00 for it in the home market, it is a 5 line, 5 coin,  criss cross in the bally classic model and a quarter to boot, all good stuff, but it is a JPO machine (Jack Pots Only) as it doesn't look to have any fruit on the reel symbols, just bars and 7's so this brings the value down a little. Great Machine!

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
