Question
I have a 1984 bally series e slot the coin agitator was turning to mush so i changed it and now my slot machines reels don't stop spining but if you put it in test mode it works fine?no broke wires cleaned machine and all contacts any ideas

Answer
Hi Randy,

You know that this can be a lot of things, and you are just going to have to go trough the manual and run some tests on it. Changing the rubber coin agitator is not going to cause this, soo... something indirectly did, like maybe dirty hopper blu plug pins? You going to need a manual or two, if you don't have any you can get one here:

It would also help if you know if this was a E-1000 series machine or a E-2000 series Bally. If you can get it to give you a error code up on the winner paid meter then you can look in the manual and it will tell you how to fix this error.

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
