Broken Glass on Deco S
Hi, I have acquired an art deco smoker's table. The glass top was shattered during delivery. The rim of the glass is sealed by a chrome trim, which appears not to have an obvious start/finish point, which would enable it to be removed, and so the glass lifted. I would dearly love to replace the glass, but I do not know how to remove this chrome band without damaging it. Your advice would be most welcome. Regards, Penelope.

 I can't tell for the pic, but the band looks like a stamped band that would slide down over the top and be attached from under or through the sides. There has to be a way to remove it you just need to find the key. At last resort, you might take it to the glass shop and see if they have an idea. The glass shop I work with has seen a lot of items needing new glass and how to remove it.
