Question
Hello, Mr. Knutson. I found a 2006 query addressed to you about Meadows Games' 1974 'Cocktail Table' model Flim Flam ping-pong video game for 4 players. At that time you stated that you weren't very familiar with this game. Have you by chance come across any further information since that time? I'm wondering in particular how many may still be in existence and what the approximate value might be of a game in good working order. I'm curious about the values for both insurance purposes and for resale. Also, do you know where I might purchase small parts for it? I need 2 of the plastic knobs for the player controls. If you don't have any information on this game, can you please recommend someone who might? I truly appreciate your time and assistance, and I look forward to hearing from you! Meanwhile, have a lovely day!

Answer
Hi Stephanie,

Sorry, no I never did any more research on this after that answer. I just don't have any paper on these video games, I guess now they are antiques but I still don't have much on them as I never did much in the video games. I do know that there is a news group called recreational or rec games or something like that. There are a much of people dealing in video games there but I not get the news groups anymore and don't even know how. If you could find this group I am sure you could find some parts for your game. Sorry for not being very helpful to you here, it's just something that I have never worked with so I haven't any information on them.

Thank You

Rodger

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
