Question
I have a Bally slot machine for sale. It was purchased from a casino in Las Vegas in 1992.  It works wells. It is a Nickel machine.  All lights works. I would consider it in better than good condition, but not Mint.  If I were to sell this machine, what could I expect to receive.  Model number is 873 D.  Right below that on the metal tag is FL 2389.  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Jim,

I can only guess, depends on how you try to sell it, and a host of other things. It's just like most antiques, it's value is in what the buyer is willing to take for it and what the buyer is willing to pay for it. Outside of that, it might sell for 500.00 to 1,200.00 if your trying to sell it in the papers or adds. You might see a nice machine like this in a retail store for 1,600.00 or more with a guarantee. At auction and ebay maybe around 5 to 8 hundred dollars. This is one of my favorite Bally games, there usually a 5 line criss cross game, with the top box and the Bally Classic size, just right, old enough to still be using those great fruit symbols, a super game to own.

Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
