Question
Hi there, I have a pair of scissors/shears. They are mad in Germany and say Adolf Menz wwe on them.  When I research them and Menz all I come up with is Menz's corkscrew.  Are these rare and or valuble? Any direction you can point me in will be very helpfull.  Thank you in advance for your time.  Regards, Tom

Answer
Hello Tom,
Are you able to attach a photo of the scissors please?  I'm thinking that the blades are where you are seeing and Adolf Menz name.  If so, they made all sorts of items out of steel, not just corkscrews.  This company fabricated metal.
With a photo, I can do some additional research on your behalf.
Regards,
Irene

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
