Hi Alan,

Thank you for sending a question on something Juicy! Out of the standard questions I receive on the slot machines. Your close on the year, these were made in 1906 to 1907 and maybe longer. Charles Fey originally made this under the Fays name but someone stole one of the original Fays machines and then the copes folded the market. That is how it was done back then as patents were not just handed out because a judge ruled that gambling machines had no real purpose, there for he would not grant any. This also happened to one of Fays first Original three reel slot machines and everyone was making copies of it overnight. This just fits right in there with the roaring 20's right? It is too bad that your machine is missing the marque that Bridges over the top of the viewing window, I can see the screw holes where it mounted in your photo. The bridle marque also held a large (card board I think) award card that fit in a slot in the marque. I would be very interested in buying this machine from you if you were thinking about selling it. If so, just email me at Jackpot7@q.com and we can talk about it. Anyway Alan, I hope you enjoy the information on it and attached is more information on it and a photo which you should be able to print out. Thanks again for posting a photo of your trade stimulator. A Little more information on trade stimulator's versus slot machines, trade stimulator's for the most part were machines that did not payout coins, instead you would win and show the innkeeper the winning play and he would give you the reward which could be beers, smokes, gum or a number of other things which would stimulate trade for the shop it was located in.

Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
