Question
Hi,
I have inherited a 1938 Bally Paramount Pinball Machine.  It still works and is in decent condition for a machine that old. Do you have any idea what this machine is worth? I saw an ad on ebay for a brochure that someone was trying to sell for $150, so I hope the machine is worth more than that.

Any help you can give me as far as the value of this machine would be much appreciated.

Bally PARAMOUNT E/M Pinball Machine

Hi Dora,

Well.......... Why do I have to be the one delivering bad new, I hate that. But, the new is that the value guide gives this machine in average condition a value of just that: 150.00. I'll attach that to this answer so you can be mad at the guide and not me ok? The truth is Dora, This value is only a guide, that all. The real value is what you are asking for it and what the interested buyer is willing to pay for it. It's a neat game, I might try asking $600.00 or more for it, it's not every day you see a 1933 pinball machine, if it plays great, and looks good, someone might just want it and be willing to pay that and more. There not going to go down the block and find another one. Sorry it isn't worth a bunch, but it is to someone looking for one.
Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
