Question
Hi,We have a #892 Mills jukebox. Needs a good clean up and is
good shape. However, I do not know what is the most gentle cleaner not to damage to wood. It has all the parts. This is first e-mail out to seek some advice. It has a 3 coin device, all the dials, switches, record plates, and what kind of value would
it be at?  Thank you for your thoughts. Michele

Answer
Hi Michele,

Your Mills Studio Jukebox was made in 1937. The average value of this jukebox is from $400.00 to $800.00 and completely Restored it has a value $2,900.00. I would think that the wood should be somewhat protect by the finish on it, maybe something like Lemon Pledge, a cleaner wax or something like that would work good to high light the original finish on it.

Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
