Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Fairbanks scale

Fairbanks scale
Fairbanks scale
Has anyone ever seen one of these scales. If so how old is it and how much is it worth?

Hi Dustin,

We have seen several of these scales since we have been collecting for many years. These scales were manufactured for many years by Fairbanks, making it difficult to date. Unfortunately, your scale is missing the beams which is the part that most collectors are interested in.  In addition, you are missing the platform which would probably have been a drive on or walk on,  pit style platform with the levers under ground level. It would be easier to date if we had the serial number from the missing beam or the platform. Someone may Be interested in your scale for its sign, one of which we have in our collection, or as a focal point in a large room, store or game room. Retail value might be $50-$125.

Hope this helps.
