Question
Vintage Columbus Machine
Vintage Columbus Machi
I've been helping my father clear out his basement and found a vintage Columbus gumball machine. It has a lever to stop the gumball from coming down to guess the color. He thinks they were discontinued because it was considered gambling during prohibition. I have attached a picture.

Any information about it (model) including value would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!!

Answer
Hello Sydney

Your machine is a Columbus RW and yes it was indeed a gambling machine.  Collectors like this machine.  Your machine seems to have some parts that may have come off another model machine.  Specifically the coin entry plate and lid hold down ring.  Send me an email at jomax9@hotmail.com and we can talk about value.
