I can't find any chairs to compare this to but it has a sticker on back that says Taylor chair, Bedford Ohio ...could you tell me what you can? There was something about it I liked...seems very solid and Beautiful wood. Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge !

Michelle - Your chair is a commercial reception area or courthouse chair probably from the 1940s. It is made of maple or birch.
