Collectibles-General (Antiques)/White Furn Co

China cabinet
China cabinet

I've just obtained a beautiful White Furn Co dining room set from my Aunts estate. I do not have a lot of information about it. It contains a china cabinet, matching buffet, table with 2 leaves, 6 chairs two of which have arms. The set appears to be in great shape with only a few scratches here and there from normal use. The backs of the furniture are stamped with White Furn Co 50-5 Buffet lot no 603 on the buffet and china cabinet base. The table is stamped White Furn Co 50-2 Tbble lot no 601.   I'm considering selling it, but have no idea what a fair price would be as I've not been able to ascertain an approximate value of the set. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

this is newer that what i handle on a daily basis but I have seen similar sets in antique malls selling at 750-1500 for the china cabinet.  depends on the type of mall.  private personal sale will bring about 500-700.  chairs about 50 each if the cane is all good and fabric clean and not torn or worn.  table 450.

In regards to American antique, vintage and collectible furniture I can help with wood identification, styles, age, periods, historical coatings, materials, techniques, repair, restoration, refinishing, and value. I do not study mid century and later furniture nor do I deal in lamps, and other smalls. You may ask for values and I will give you current market values, I will not give you 'feel good' values. Understand that there are many factors that contribute to market value. If you want a feel good, unrealistic number, please call a local inexperienced appraiser. It is my desire to help you and in doing so I increase my knowledge as well. For that I thank you.

I have been in the antiques furniture and restoration business and in the sales of antique furniture for 40+ years and have continued my education in the trade attending workshops and seminars by various organizations, institutions, and private collectors.
