Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Casige Straco Sewing Machine

I have an old Casige Straco Electr-O-Matic sewing machine. Can you tell me the age/value? And how to go about selling it? Thanks

Hello Laura,

From your photo, it appears that you have the CASIGE model 2015 or similar, made of sheet metal. It is belt driven and sews a chain stitch.

Without seeing your machine, it is not possible to give true value but if in MINT condition with all parts present, an estimate would be in the $100 range. Check auction sites like eBay for more up-to-date SOLD prices.

You could list it on an auction site or through a collector site like International Toy Stitchers -

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to Toy or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
