I'm searching for a value/time period on this table by Duncan. The spring leaf's work and it is in overall good condition. Claw feet are intact and the little knobs at each corner at still there. I found several pictures of the same table, but no knobs. Don't know if that is even worth mentioning. Thank you in advance. I'm a Disabled Combat Veteran that has fallen on difficult times and have some antique furniture that I need to sell.

Sorry for your troubles.

The table although called by many to be a duncan phyfe table, it is not.  This is a manufactured table made in the 1940s, with the original finish, or so it appears to have the original finish.

It is mahogany veneer on the tops and drawer front.  The base is most likely sweet gum stained to the color you see.

In a good shop this would price at 100, to 200 tops.   It is a nice table.  You said Ferguson so I am thinking it is the Ferguson Brothers in Hoboken?  In selling this I would make sure to use the terminology ' duncan phyfe style or sheraton style.  do not leave off the word style as that would indicate it was made in the time they were working, which is was not.

hope this is what you needed.

In regards to American antique, vintage and collectible furniture I can help with wood identification, styles, age, periods, historical coatings, materials, techniques, repair, restoration, refinishing, and value. I do not study mid century and later furniture nor do I deal in lamps, and other smalls. You may ask for values and I will give you current market values, I will not give you 'feel good' values. Understand that there are many factors that contribute to market value. If you want a feel good, unrealistic number, please call a local inexperienced appraiser. It is my desire to help you and in doing so I increase my knowledge as well. For that I thank you.

I have been in the antiques furniture and restoration business and in the sales of antique furniture for 40+ years and have continued my education in the trade attending workshops and seminars by various organizations, institutions, and private collectors.
