Question I am helping a friend try to find a buyer for her antique carousel horse. The horse is a Stein & Goldstein and came off the Rough Rider Carousel in Revere Beach. She purchased the carousel horse for her daughter in the 1960's from an anitque dealer in Marblehead Mass.
The horse has been kept indoors and has Park paint and never refinished by my friend.
I would like to help her sell the horse but do not know the correct avenues to get the best price for her or the price range for this horse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer I could probably give you an estimate of the current market value if you could provide me with a good photograph. As far as where you can find a buyer, I can't help you there. The carousel market is very soft right now. I don't know of any figures that have sold recently at anywhere near market value.
