Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Crochet Hook

Question
Dear Barbara,
I have an old fashioned crochet hook that was my Grandmothers or possibly my Great-grandmothers. It is unique in that it has one handle (about 4 inches long) with three "fold-up" hooks attached on the other end. It has an metal case that slides over the handle, covering the two unused hooks, and has a hole in the opposite end where the hook being used pokes through. I am attaching three photos (my computer skills are not the best, so I hope you get them and can understand them)which should help to explain the hook. We're interested in the history of this hook and would appreciate ANY information you can give us. Thank you for your time and information. Tana

Answer
Hello Tana.  I don't know much about crochet hooks, but I have a couple of friends that do.  Your pictures did not come through on this forum, but if you would send them to me at bacchino@twcny.rr.com, I will forward them to my friends and see what I can come up with for you.  Barb
