Question
QUESTION: Can you tell me anything about this type of lamp. Was given to me by my brother.
Thank you very much.
Tom
ANSWER: Hi, I can't see much detail from the picture, but my first inclination leans toward Miller Lamp Co. These lamps were popular around the turn of the century- early 1900s. There were other lamp makers during this time such as Handel, Moe Bridges, and so on. Without knowing the maker, it is harder to price. I would say that in good condition the lamp is worth at least $300,and could be worth several thousand depending on the maker.
Thanks

QUESTION: Thanks for the very quick response. I have looked for a name but there is none. The lamp is 24" high and the shade is 19: across. There is light painting/coloring on the cattails, water, and flowers above the swan. I hope this will help along with a better photo.
Thank you again.

AnswerI can't tell you much more without seeing it up close. If you search ebay, type in antique lamp miller, or antique stained glass lamp, and see if any similar lamps come up that the seller already knows the manufacturer. Unfortunately, some of the lamps that aren't marked can only be identified through specific lamp and lighting catalog ads (old ads).
Thanks
