QUESTION: I was hoping that you could help me identify an antique floor lamp.  My wife purchased this lamp several years ago, and she wants to sell it now.  Can you identify the manufacturer from these pictures?

Thank You,

Matthew Nadeau

ANSWER: I cannot tell from this picture alone. Antique floor lamp refurbishing is my specialty. I probably run across close to 100 floor lamps every year. Often these lamps are unmarked, but sometimes the maker's name can be found under the base. Other times, only stock number stampings are found such as W5471, or E192, and so on. These won't help you ID the lamp. Some of the Maker's names I have found include Rembrandt, Sandel, Handel, Alladin, Colonial Premier, Chicago Lamp, Milcast, Reynaud, Moe Bridges. I cannot tell from this picture, but the lamp appears to have been produced between around 1910 and 1935. It is probably worth around $150 to $225 if it is in working order and in good shape. If the base is extravagant, and has onyx, marble, or art glass, then $200 to $300.

Look under the base for a name.

Thanks

QUESTION: The only identification under the base is ml81.  Maybe Milcast???

Answer
Hi, It is still not a guarantee what maker that is. The stamping may just be for the part number. This link is to a Milcast lamp that I have. You will see the markings under the base. Thanks
