Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Mankikin Vendor Co

Question
I have a Manikin Vendor Co.  Gum Ball Machine.  I believe it is called the Baker Boy.  It also says Sanitary Chewing Gum.  The paint is a little on the rough side but the mechanism is in good working order.  I do not have any gum balls to put in it, and I understand it is critical to have the correct size of balls.  It has belonged to the family for as many years as we can count.  I think it is a 1928 year that it was introduced.  I will send you some pictures through your e-mail address.  Would like to know the history on them and the approximate value.
Thanks Gale

Answer
Hi Gale,
I received your photo's A-OK and received your response e-mail about the value. This is what I got out of a price guide, but I am going to look into it some more and let you know what I come up with. Things change in this collecting fild, sometimes very fast for no reason.
Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
