Subject: Miniature Carousel Horse

Question
Dear Mr. Zubee,

I have a miniature horse carved by George W. Long.  It is signed by him and
dated 1974.  Mr. Long carved horses for a carousel at Seabreeze Amusement
Park in Rochester, New York - the park is still run by his relatives/family.  I
believe that, at one tme, Mr. Long worked for the Philadelphia Toboggan
Company.

The horse is 14" long and about 13" high and appears to be in excellent
condition.  I am interested in its approximate value and where I might find
more information about Mr. Long.  I would be happy to send you a photo of
the horse if you wish.

Thank you for your consideration.

Answer
The information you have on George Long is basically correct.   Not being an expert in, or collector of miniature figures I would have no idea what the value of your piece would be.   I wish I could point you in the right direction, but I have no information on miniatures.
