Question
We have a National Vendors Inc., model # 10C, serial number 1004058 snack vending machine.  The coin mechanism needs work & the lock probably needs to be replaced. We found some of the original price stickers inside the machine. Condition wise - on a scale from 1 to 10, I'd say it's a 6.

We are thinking of selling the machine but do not know what to ask.

Answer
I wrote direct and sent you an attachment with the following:
Hi JoAnne,

Well here's what I have for you, "See Attached" It's the best I can do but I think it's real good and right in the ball park. As you can see, they may be different manufacturers but they look very similar to each other. This also indicates to me that the year of yours is most likely close to 1957. The value on the one attached is $180.00. My best guess is that yours would be the same. I hope this is of some help to you.
Thank You

Hi JoAnne,
Well I am not real good on vending machines, there are thousands of them, if it's real old it might be in one of the books I have. Is it possible for you to email me a photo of it, so I know what the model 10C look like? If so, my address is jackpot7@ix.netcom.com Also you can try watching ebay for one, but let me know if you can email a photo.
Thank You
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
