Question
Hi.  A friend of ours was just given a soda vending machine. Vendo  model# H63A and serial# 00520588.
I have been researching for him and have found some of these same model(s) etc. I do not have a pic, but he says there are dr pepper logos on it (although I know it is not the queen anne, by his description).
The main question I have is was it originally a dr pepper machine or coke? and also, as he is beginning to remove paint etc., he is finding green and white, with a pic of a boy and some bubbles (painted logo) beneath what he says appears to be a(nother) dr pepper decal.
I would appreciate any info you can give me to pass along to him..

Most Sincerely,  Tina

Answer
Hi Tina,

I am not much help on vending machines, coin operated games, yes, but not vending machines. I think the boy and bubbles might be 7-UP, another mastery. Sorry Tina, I am just not much help here. I think I can tell you something, I believe that the pop companies didn't make there machines, just ordered them from Vendo and had them paint them anyway they wanted.
Thanks fr writing.....

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
