Answer
Hi Marvin
Nice to hear from you.
Nippon china is very sought after here in Canada.
I used to see a lot of it a few years back, but now its rare to find it at auction here.
Nippon China was made in such a wide range of shapes and sizes that you may not find your particular piece.
The Indian head handles is something I have not heard of before though.
In Canada, such a dish in very fine condition could bring $125.00
Other than this info Marvin, I can offer only the suggestion that you get an antique book on Nippon China and check for similar pieces to yours.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Eileen
PS..The library is also a good place to look for books on Nippon.

Expertise

I can answer most questions about the repairing and refinishing of all your old furniture items (the things we call antiques). I can also give you advice on what wood items to choose and what wood items to avoid at auctions, flea markets etc. I DO NOT give appraisals on antiques as this is not my field of expertise.

Experience

I have been repairing, refinishing and of course buying old furniture for the past 30 years. On any given weekend I can be found at auction sales or flea markets searching out a good buy. I have taken several courses in this area over the years, but I find "Hands On" learning to be the best teacher. I can help you avoid the pitfalls and problems of this wonderful rewarding craft.
