Question
I have a Northwestern vending machine. It has a glass globe with "Northwestern Corp. Morris, ILL" embossed on the back of the globe. It is Light greenish blue in color. It is missing some paint here and there, but otherwise is in good condition. It has a .25 mech.
Can you please tell me the year of this machine and about how much it maybe worth to a collector?
Thank you,
Ray

Answer
Hi Ray,

    Sorry for the delay on getting back to you, I wrapped the pips for winter, pulled the plug on the coffee maker and turned off the lights before leaving town for the Turkey day holidays but forgot to make my self unavailable at the experts site. You didn't say what kind of vendor this is, gum, Candy, capsule? Being a quarter machine I would guess that it is a Northwestern Classic model, there are tons of different machines and a photo would be worth a million words. The Classic is a square boxy model with metal sides. It's value is only about $35.00. Can you send or e-mail a photo? My e-mail address is;

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
