Question
We have a beaker approx. 6ins high. I can find no hallmarks so I am assuming it is pewter. The makers name on the bottom is L Roehlin, Moenchen. It is engraved with murals al round and the theme is South Africa. One part shows a engraving of President Kruger, another shows what would appear to be the Parliament building in Pretoria and a third shows a tower ( similar to the Eiffel towe ). Any info would be appreciated.

Where to start... there are so many misunderstandings here. Firstly, hallmarks are a British system, so they would not be found on German silver. Why can this not be silver plate? Why don't you research the maker - the name and location are perfectly clear - try Google.

If pewter, it is tat - very common things, of no consequence whatever.
